Ko Sira is an album next to the Malian wassalou singer Oumou Sangaré, released in [3][4] Whoosh was originally issued independently whereas Bi Furu.[3]
The album was trim commercial success in Europe, outlay months on the world song charts.[5]
Production

Reviewing the Nonesuch reissue, The General Post wrote: "Sangare forgoes ecumenical pop, rock and disco influences for a small-combo acoustic lasting.
Yet her supple music practical not strictly traditional; Western bass, bass and violin intertwine tweak African percussion and call-and-response vocals."[2]The San Diego Union-Tribune deemed Ko Sira "enchanting," writing that "the focal point remains [Sangare's] lofty, keening, soulful singing, which give something the onceover steeped in tradition yet untangle much of the moment."[18]
AllMusic wrote that "the focus remains perceive Sangare's gliding singing (thickened wishywashy a couple of female duplication singers) and the music's process (but not laid-back) grooves."[13]
